Technomages

The Technomages are a group of sentient beings of many races. They use technology to create the appearance of magic.

Some Technomages choose a "place of power" for themselves and in doing so, they develop a strong connection with that place, and to some extent, a dependency on that connection.

They seem to have a dark past, but little is known. The skill they use is called technomancy

There powers can be the following:


  1. Shield
  2. With practice a Technomage can cast a shield around their bodies to absorb damage or contain atmosphere in hostile environments.
  3. Associate/Disassociate
  4. Technomages used this power to make or break connections to their ships, staffs, places of power or other compatible technology.
  5. Fireball
  6. Technomages can hurl fireballs.

  7. Platform
  8. This ability generates an invisible platform that can suspend items above the ground. With further abilities, mages can move and even ride on these platforms. They can also be made in a variety of shapes, colors, and textures, although the standard is a simple rectangle.
  9. Hologram
  10. Technomages can generate holograms like holodemons, which can actually interact physically with their environment.
  11. Electron Incantation
  12. Through this technique, Technomages can establish real-time communication with another Technomage regardless of distance. While under the effect of this ability, the speakers' consciousness is manifest within a sort of dreamscape in which time moves quickly enough for the participants to have whole conversations in the span of seconds. It is possible to establish contact with non-Technomages, but it is difficult.


Some are rumoured in having:

  1. Cloak
  2. Technomages can cloak themself in exactly the manner the Shadows are able to cloak themselves. This spell underlies the mage's ability to create illusion.

  3. Destruction
  4. Some can collapse parts of the universe into smaller universes, destroying them completely.

  5. Plasma Beam
  6. Some can fire plasma beams from thier body.

  7. Shadow Skin
  8. Underlying the mage's shield spells is a primal spell that can cover the mage in a skin similar to that covering Shadow vessels.

  9. Shadow Communication
  10. This spell allows mages to intercept the communications sent to Shadow agents like Morden or the Drakh.

  11. techno-message
  12. This spell allows mages to send messages, videos, information packets to other Technomages. It serves almost as a long distance telepathy since they can type in thier heads and read it in thier heads.




Their Ships:
  1. Ship
A simplistic black triangle design hides the advanced technology that operates the vessel. Technomages have a direct cybernetic link into the ship, giving them complete, split-second control over their ship.
